Trangie Research Heritage Australian Lowline

Direct descendants of the Trangie Agricultural Research Centre foundation herd, cattle are selected strictly for temperament and structural soundness.

Primus - Our current Registered Senior bull, arguably one of the best bulls in Australia !

Research Background

The pasture conversion metrics..........

In 1974, the Trangie Agricultural Research Centre initiated landmark trials to isolate superior beef cattle performance on native and improved perennial pastures. Our herd preserves these exact lines, emphasising high dressing percentages and moderate frames without supplementary grain inputs.

Data gathered across decades confirms that compact frames achieve superior stocking rates per hectare. Rib eye area ratios per hundredweight consistently outperform conventional British breeds under identical dry-summer paddock conditions.

Speckeline Cattle

Purebred Australian Lowline Cattle crossed with Canadian Speckle Park Cattle

We diversify our herd by introducing a second line of Canadian Speckleline Cows to cross with our Purebred Australian Lowline Bulls resulting in stunning calves with a slightly increase growth rate and adding a little more marbling to exceptional beef.
